Derby 160 Loser Awards
Derby 160's theme was
"The end of the world". Fewer entries and lower vote totals than a typical week. I would have thought this theme would be more popular; there were surprisingly few zombie shirts (I'm definitely not complaining). But there were some fun creative takes on the theme. Here's your favorites and mine. As usual, click on the thumbnail to see the full-size shirt and comments on Shirt.Woot.
The "Brother Sun, Sister Moon" Award
Newcomer MurrayMullet has a wonderfully crisp style with their "Diabolical Sun". I hope he or she will participate more and enter the Derby earlier!
The BLAs
Here's the rest of the designs you and I liked. Everyone mentioned today will be getting one of these nifty BestLoser badges in their Shirt.Woot entry comments thread.

Another newcomer, Tascott02, has some fantastic linework with their "Invasion" shirt. I'd like to see this again with some reworked colors. Black on AA olive can be close to invisible. And please come back next week to participate some more.
| PaulKremer says "The beautiful line work on the Capitol building, the fun and simplicity of the monster, the texture on the cotton candy, the use of the Washington monument as the stick, and the absolute brilliance of giving us just the outline of all the attacking military vehicles and men, which makes it a definite and noticeable part of illustration, yet leaves the focus exactly where it should be - the monster! I could rave about this design for paragraphs. I feel like Woot voters should be charged with a crime for letting this one slip away...seriously. I might get a lawyer. :-D"

JmmBell1987 says "Kromehwi's CHOMP! is delightfully creepy, with enough dark humor to make it more than a niche piece. This space squid/swallower fish is one of most memorable derby characters in a while."
| Artulo has a clever depiction of the "peak water" problem. Very wearable.

BassAnimation says "This shirt has such a fresh style from the usual that we see on Woot. I love the composition, character and stylization of the elements. Great depiction of the theme with very unique personality."
| More concerns about dwindling water from Wotto. Awesome details on this and a wonderfully creepy mood. Welcome to Woot, Wotto!
