Derby 196 Loser Awards

Derby 196's theme was "Amusement Parks". A fun and straightforward theme with plenty of solid entries. Incidental text was allowed but wasn't used much by the artists. Here's your favorites and mine. As usual, click on the thumbnail to see the full-size shirt and comments on Shirt.Woot.

The "Like Cats Need More 'Tude" Award
I love that Apelad is participating regularly lately. He has such a clean cartoon style and his characters have so much personality. I love the cat's smiles on both sides of the mirror here.

The BLAs
Here's the rest of the designs you and I liked. Everyone mentioned today will be getting one of these nifty BestLoser badges in their Shirt.Woot entry comments thread.

GeekFactor12 says "I love all the detail- this design gives such a clear sense of place and stars a great character."	A fun and wearable design with lots of great little details and puns. I liked it better with the text but understand why it had to be rejected. It'd be fantastic if the text version got the Honorable Mention nod and gave it a more solid chance at the next Double-Take.
BlueJester says "What really sells this design for me at least, is the expression of the characters, particularly the bag on the left. He has a great 'woah' type of look going there."	GrrlMarvel is getting to be a regular part of the weekly BLAs! This week her "I Get Around... and Around..." is a lovely feminine design with great colors. I'd love this for my daughter.
Newcomer OctoChimp has a fun Terry Gilliam style entry with his "We are NOT Amused" design.	Brockart says "Hands Down, Gravitron has some great Retro-Sweetness happening. This brings up some great memories."
