Derby 205 Loser Awards
Derby 205's theme was
"Mexico". Woot predicted cute tacos taking the lead but the shirts in the fog are quite artistic and the anthropomorphic food is limited. Lots of variety here but at the same time a limited number of truly unique designs. Here's a few exceptions you and I found. The "Aztec Camera" Award
Qetza returns back to the top spot in the BLAs again this week. Hopefully this week will be a print. This week he takes on his namesake bird with fantastic Aztec-inspired patterns hidden in the feathers and branches.

SeedUvPain's "Regular Gonzales" has some great linework for a fun tribute to Speedy G. I think it's plenty recognizable as Speedy without text but it's even funnier knowing the title.
| TheInfinityLoop's "Lady of the Dead" has some amazing colors, textures, and transparencies, all magically accomplished with 6 colors. Lovely work.

You really thought "Regular Gonzales" was better than Drakxxx & Odysseyroc's "DOOM SQUAD de Los Muertos?" Must be, cuz I didn't see it nominated by anyone. If you want to discuss "line work," Drakxxx is the regeining King of Lines! The work and planning thatwent into that design makes my brain hurt! Speedy's Slow Poke cousin is kinda, well, uh... "Regular."
It would've been nice to give the boys some love after getting so close. Best design in the derby, IMHO. Everyone here deserves a badge, though, I just thought there were a few there that were more deserving. But, hey, this is your game and your ball, so ...You win.
These awards are a great way to give some love back. Thanks for spreading the love, keep it up.

Dog, Sorry you're not thrilled with my picks. Doom Squad was on the edge for me. Ultimately the extremely tired subject matter -- zombies -- killed it for me. I can appreciate the work but didn't LIKE it.

I'm disappointed Espiritu didn't make it, it was a beautiful shirt and fully representative of the theme, unlike most of the shirts here. Anyways, this is my first time here, and I respect your choices.
