Derby 209's theme was
"Fairy Tales". This is one of those derbies where the theme really inspired some beautiful art. Way more than I can practically talk about unfortunately. I've narrowed it down as far as I can. As usual, click on the thumbnail to see the full-size shirt and comments on Shirt.Woot.
The "Killing Tree" Award
Very cool to see such a beautiful illustration for a fairy tail I'm completely unfamiliar with. I have a weak spot for tree shirts and this one is fantastic -- just the right mix of light and dark, optimistic and foreboding. Wonderful work, LittleClyde!

Great to see ZeroBriant participating here. I love the large shirt-filling composition, monochromatic palette, and all the little details.
| PokeTheDeadKat's "Swan Brothers" has some lovely fine lines and subtle colors. I'm really digging the direction that Poke has been heading the last few weeks. Great work!

HdLibra is a relative newcomer to the derbies. This design has a charming story, great colors, and cool composition. It also just might turn out to be his or her first print!
